Here is what you’ll find in our January 2026 E-Newsletter:
January’s Dear Urbaneer was entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: What Health & Wellness Design Features Are Trending In Toronto Real Estate‘. This time, Steve explores how wellness-driven design is transforming our domiciles. The question reads: “In the years since the pandemic, the topic of health and wellness in home design has been trending. I feel like a lot of what I read about seems luxurious or not overly practical in an average home. I’m interested in exploring other meaningful wellness trends and how they are manifesting in homes today.” Read on for his insight!
Steve and the Urbaneer Team post weekly blogs that share our love of all things real estate and that celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most well-read posts this past month:
Our most well-read piece was: ‘Urbaneer’s Top 5 Most Popular Posts of 2025‘. In the spirit of thoughtful reflection to kick off the new year, we shared our annual roundup of the Top 5 most popular Urbaneer posts from the past year. These reader favourites cover everything from housing legislation to budget-savvy tips for prepping your home for sale, all seasoned with personal insights, hard-earned expertise, and reflections from a career that’s now 35 years (and counting). Keep in mind, they were our most-read posts written in 2025; they are not our most-read posts for the year overall.
Another popular piece was ‘Toronto Life Researches Up-And-Coming Neighbourhoods Homebuyers Should Know‘. Did you see the Toronto Life article a few months back that focused on where homebuyers should look for their next purchase? Acknowledging that Toronto has some of the most expensive real estate in the country, a savvy buyer looks to up-and-coming Toronto neighbourhoods that haven’t fully come into their own yet. If you can get in at ground level in these burgeoning communities, you’ll be able to watch them gentrify around you and your property value increase! I applaud the research done for this piece, which encompasses not only housing stock and neighbourhood composition, but transit, amenities and convenience.
We also had a great response to our blog, ‘Discover Something New At The Oakwood Village Library & Arts Centre‘. The Oakwood Village Library and Arts Centre, a branch of the Toronto Public Library, stands out as a multi-faceted hub for community engagement and learning. The TPL and its outstanding staff have curated a welcoming and supportive atmosphere here, where folks of all age groups can find a place to work, study, access the trove of resources, or sit down with a good book! On top of that, it also boasts an art exhibition space that elevates local artists with monthly shows and hosts a variety of shows and performances. Check it out!
